Rebel Outpost on Hoth
This was my first attempt to make a free-form LEGO custom creation. I was inspired by the LEGO Star Wars AT-AT vs. Tauntaun Microfighter set. Particularly it was the Tauntaun that brought me back to my earlier childhood and the nostalgia that surrounded Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
In this build, I was also excited to work on some various rock-work techniques that included SNOT (studs not on top) techniques. In the MOC you’ll find R2-D2, Several Hoth Rebels, a mobile radar unit, and an outpost entry. The outpost is built into the side of a mountain.

I wish that I remembered the name of the song used in this video because I like it so much. I layered in some wind noise behind the music, creating a lovely ambiance to the video. Adding a scene from The Empire Strikes Back to the end of the video gave it a nostalgic touch.
