Lying Low on Tatooine

This Obi-Wan Kenobi Inspired LEGO Star Wars MOC tells the story of Obi-Wan lying low on Tatooine while Riva, an Inquisitor, hunts for him.

I was excited to build another Tatooine MOC as I love the building architecture. Building Tatooine also allowed me to work on my free-form building techniques and landscape textures.

It's funny because it is hard to mess up texturing between tiles and studs in a landscape, it's one of those things you can overthink, but there are a few things that I look for when making sand textures; spacing and bunches. You can see what I'm talking about in the video and images below.

The most fun aspect of this build was incorporating lighting into one of my Lego MOCs for the first time. I've become a Light My Bricks fan using their lighting kits to aluminate the build. The use of custom FireStar Toys printed heads was pretty cool too.
